James 1:19-20 – “My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires.”
In today’s episode, Steve tackles the difficult task of active listening. What are the ingredients of a good listener? Open, honest, and safe communication is our responsibility in order to have effective communication. Difficult things will be said and need to be said. When you’re rooted and grounded in Christ, you can be still and reflective, and listen well. You’re not always on the defensive. It’s not just what we say, it’s how we say it.
